Recursive Writing Sheet

For my recursive writing process, I have many strategies that I consistently use to help me through the process of writing an essay. The best strategy I have is when I annotate, I summarize paragraph by paragraph, putting the reading in my own words. This allows my to stay tuned in, and understand the reading fully. This doesn’t just go for English class, but for any reading I’ll ever come across. There are a lot of long, tricky readings I will come across in my life. It’s hard for me to stay focused and remember and essay when I read it. I need to take notes for myself, and even though these notes may not be clear and concise, they make sense to me, and that’s all that matters.

While writing my first draft, I like writing my essay all in one shot. By doing this, I get all my ideas out on the paper, and then it becomes easier to make a final draft. Yes, by using this strategy, some parts of the essay make no sense at all; but thats okay. It’s better to write all my ideas than only some of my ideas. this prevents me from forgetting things, and it gives me more room to work with the essay and play around with my ideas. This strategy also goes for more than just English. Would you ever leave out ideas if you’re trying to win an argument? Of course not. Just like my rough drafts, nothing gets left out. This goes for English essays, all the way to real-life example, such as a court case.
